North Charleston student registration centers open

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- For students, it may feel like the summer is just getting started, but the Charleston County School District is helping parents prepare for the upcoming school year with two North Charleston registration centers.

The centers are a "one-stop shop" for parents in CCSD's Constituent District 4 representing North Charleston and Ladson.

The two centers are located at James Simons, the former Brentwood Middle School, and Lambs Elementary School.

The centers are designed to help parents and students new to the district with information about buses, lunch programs, special needs options and English as a Second Language students. The centers also provide medical information that parents will need to gather before school starts in the fall.

The centers are open Monday-Thursday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. until Aug. 8. There will be special hours on Friday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on a pair of Saturdays, Aug. 3 and Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
