      Officer, one other person sent to hospital after traffic accident

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A Charleston Police officer was involved in an accident Friday afternoon that sent the officer and one other person to the hospital.

      Highway Patrol officials said officer Harry Sosa was traveling west on Charlestowne Drive and turned onto Sam Rittenberg.{} That's when officials say he struck a Honda CRV.

      Officer Sosa's car was unmarked and hiad its lights and siren on at the time of the accident.

      Sosa and the driver of the car were taken to Roper St. Francis, but their conditions are unknown.
