One dead, suspect on the run in Fife Ln. incident

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police are investigating a murder on Fife Lane in West Ashley.

Officials say relatives were worried about a woman who lived at the house. Relatives told police they had not heard from her recently.

Police entered the home and found the woman dead with stab wounds.

Investigators believe it is a domestic situation. Chesley Black, Jr. is considered a person of interest.

Police believe he fled the residence at some point before law enforcement officers arrived at 4:15 p.m. He is believed to be driving a 2010 Nissan Altima -- S.C. tag EPY454.

Black was believed to originally been accompanied by his 2-year-old daughter, who has since been located with family members in Sumter, S.C.

Officials say Black should not be approached if located.
