NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police are searching for suspects after an overnight incident left one man dead and another wounded along Dorchester Road in North Charleston.

The investigation is centered in a parking lot between I-526 and Interstate 26.

At one point over a dozen police cruisers had rushed to the area as a large crowd looked on. The coroner identified the victim as Miquel Snipe.

North Charleston's Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor said the two victims were shot after leaving the Charlie O's night club located in Charleston County.

Pryor said the shooting happened just before 2:30 a.m. and that while one victim was shot in his right arm and declined medical treatment, the other died at the scene.

Investigators learned that a fight broke out at a different location and the group ended up at Charlie O's. Pryor said as the two victims were headed to their car in the CK Supply parking lot someone inside of a black GMC Yukon opened fire.

Officers are on the lookout for a suspect described as black male with dreads, standing just under 6 feet tall, wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and wearing a red hat.
