By Tessa Spencertspencer@abcnews4.com
CHARLESTON, S. C. (WCIV)- Landlords and their renters on the peninsula have received fair warning- remove your debris or be fined!
Informational fliers were sent out to tenants via their landlords earlier this month. It advises them on how to remove their curbside debris, like furniture.
"Ways to properly place your trash on the curb, not just throwing open trash bags of garbage out there and just throwing couches and chairs all over the streets," says Dan Riccio, City of Charleston's Livability Director.
Livability Code Enforcement officers will concentrate on the Cannon/Elliotborough, Radcliffeborough and Charleston Village neighborhoods.
Code officers will follow-up in these areas with the help of the organization "Keep Charleston Beautiful."
The National Kidney Foundation and Habitat for Humanity will assist in furniture and household goods pick-up only if they have been contacted by tenants or their landlord.
"Operation Move Out" begins this Saturday from 8:00 a.m . to 5:00 p.m.
