ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) - A club owner was arrested and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a patron on July 19.
According to the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, 69-year-old James Williams was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Deputies say Williams had a 26-year-old victim kicked out of the Corner Pocket Club on Goff Avenue after there was a fight. But instead of sending the patron away and leaving it there, Williams allegedly followed the person outside and shot him once in the stomach.
Williams went through bond court Saturday, where he was denied bond on the murder charge.
