Orangeburg man arrested in Charlotte on 2005 warrant

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Charlotte man was arrested this week in a breach of trust case involving a Orangeburg church in 2005.

According to Orangeburg County sheriff Leroy Ravenell, Louis Herbert Gray{}stole more than $6,500 from{}the North Orangeburg United Methodist Church.

"Gray made statements in November 2005 that he would repay the church the money he had been given, but he never kept those promises. A breach of trust warrant was issued on Dec. 12, 2005," Ravenell said.

Gray was arrested in Charlotte on Feb. 21. A bond hearing was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. His bond was set at $6,000.
