Orangeburg man threatens to shoot sheriff, drive tank through office

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) - An Orangeburg businessman wasarrested this week for making threats against the sheriff and his chief ofstaff.

According to Orangeburg County deputies, Randall DaleGregory on Wednesday told officers that he was "going to drive a tank up thesheriff's office and blow it up." The exchange came after deputies responded toGregory's auto shop for a reported battery and tire theft.

Gregory also said the "OCSO is going to catch hell from him,"according to a report.

The report states that Gregory also said he was going toSheriff Leroy Ravenell's home to steal his things. He also threatened to shootthe sheriff if he showed up on Gregory's property.

Gregory was arrested and went through bond court Saturdaymorning.
