All lanes open after tractor trailer overturns on I-26
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- The SCHP responded to an accident with injuries and entrapment on I-26 Tuesday morning.
The collision happened around 8:45 a.m. near exit 212 westbound. Traffic cameras showed an overturned tractor trailer and traffic build up along the ramp.
The flatbed 18 wheeler was traveling on I-526, heading to I-26 westbound on the ramp when it flipped. It was carrying a roll of steel coil. The driver, identified by the highway patrol as Jamar Brayboy of Manning, was trapped underneath the truck.
Crews had the driver out and all lanes of traffic open by noon.
Brayboy has been cited for driving too fast for conditions and for not wearing a seatbelt.
