NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- Traffic has returned to normal along Interstate 26 following an early morning wreck that sent two people to the hospital.
Emergency crews and troopers with the state Highway Patrol responded to the area near the Dorchester Road exit around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Charleston County dispatchers said two people were ejected from their vehicles after hitting a railing along the interstate. Both victims were rushed to Medical University Hospital in critical condition.
Emergency personnel could be seen gathering evidence along I-26 and Dorchester Road.
Officials have not released the identities of the victims or said what caused the crash.
