CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Pet Helpers is decreasing the adoption price for kittens this weekend, due to overcrowding at their facility."We've had to bring extra cages into the adoption rooms to house all of the kittens that are available for adoption," said Public Relations Manager Lauren Lipsey. "Adult cats are less likely than young kittens to be adopted, and so the older these kittens become the less adoptable they are."To help these kittens find a home sooner than later, Pet Helpers has announced that they are discounting all kitten adoptions (six months and younger) to $25, down from the regular fee of $125."With dozens of kittens in foster care, waiting to come into the shelter, we MUST find homes for all of the kittens currently available for adoption," said Lipsey. All kittens are spayed/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, socialized and have been treated with flea/tick/worm preventative. They also come with a bag of Hill's Science Diet food and a month of free pet health insurance. To find the purr-fect cuddly kitten for your home, head to Pet Helpers located at 1447 Folly Road in Charleston. The discount is in effect Friday, October 26 from 11am to 6 pm; Saturday, October 27 from 11am to 5 pm and Sunday, October 28 from 12pm to 4 pm.
