We'll be updating this gallery throughout the day."We have 108 of 108 top players in the world committed to playing in this championship, so we have an awesome field, the strongest field of any of the four majors" said{} Tournament Director Brett Sterba. "We can't wait."Also scheduled to attend, Governor Nikki Haley will be watching the action on Thursday. And Kiawah is ready for them all. Last minute preps are done and the gates are open."The course is in great shape," said Sterba. "The greens are rolling, championship speed is what we like to say. The fairways are firm despite the rain that we got recently and the rough is ready to go."Sterba expects about 30,000 golf fans to show up each day and if you want to be one of them, practice round tickets, good for Monday Tuesday or Wednesday, are still available. If you plan to attend anytime this week, Sterba suggests you pack the necessities: sunscreen, bug spray and a rain jacket or umbrella. One producer heading out to the field had one word of warning: Don't wear flip flops!{}There are only two roads leading to the island so make sure you're aware of which route you should take. You can find Kiawah's suggested traffic pattern here. Also, organizers have provided a special shuttle to take attendees from the parking area at Freshfields Village straight to the tournament. You can find a map of the parking area here.
