      Phonebank Spotlight: Day of Caring

      MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - The United Way on Friday will be organizing another Day of Caring event throughout the Lowcountry. The goal is to get volunteers to partner with a nonprofit to increase community involvement. {}Approximately 8,000 people are expected to take part in some 400 projects and that is what makes the Day of Caring so special -- participants get to choose their project. With such a variety of opportunities you are bound to find one that fits any skillset.{}Wednesday evening the United Way will be on the ABC News 4 Volunteer Phonebank to talk more about the event and to recruit volunteers to participate. {}If you would like to call in dial 881-5837 between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. If you can't get to the phone during the ABC News 4 phonebank you can still call, you'll just have to dial different numbers.
