Phonebank Spotlight: The First Day Festival

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - As the summer break begins to fizzle out, the buzz around the start of school is growing. {}In just three weeks students in the Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley County school districts will be back at their desks.{}In preparation of the new year the City of Charleston will hold their annual First Day Festival on Aug. 18. The festival is a celebration of education. Families are invited out to Liberty Square for free school supplies and fun activities like aquarium and boat tours.{}The First Day Festival is organized by the Mayor's Office For Children, Youth and Families. The group is currently in need of volunteers to help make this year's festival a success. For more on how you can help tune into ABCNews4 at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.
