      Pinewood's Patel retains geography bee title for 4th year

      SUMMERVILLE,S.C. (WCIV) - If there's one thing Pinewood Prep eighth grader Krish Patelknows, it's geography. That knowledge has landed him a fourth state title inthe National Geographic Bee.

      Earlier thismonth, more than 100 elementary and middle school students competed instate-level competitions of the National Geographic Bee. For the fourth year ina row, Patel proved to be the king of geography.

      For hisknowledge, Patel won $100, two world atlases and a weather station. In May, heand his parents will travel to Washington, D.C. to compete in the NationalGeographic Bee championships.

      The winnerof the national competition will win a $50,000 college scholarship, lifetimemembership to the National Geographic Society, and an all-expenses paid trip tothe Galapagos Islands as a member of the National Geographic Endeavour.{}
