Poets read for patients at Charleston VA hospital
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Four local poets are scheduled to read their poems at the Johnson VA Medical Center.
The Thursday readings are part of the Veterans Affairs mental health awareness initiative. The theme of the readings is life's transitions. Patients, their families and the public are invited to attend at 11:30 a.m.
The poets slated to attend are members of a group called the Long Table Poets of Charleston.
