Police accuse man of 2 burglaries in Charleston, James Island

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Johns Island man was charged in a pair of robberies in Charleston and on James Island that happened in recent weeks.{}

According to Charleston police, 32-year-old James Blake Jr., was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary. He was arrested Thursday.{}

Police say Blake robbed a Folly Road sandwich shop on March 20 and a gas station on Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston on April 10. The Subway shop was burglarized around 10:30 p.m. when the suspect entered the store through the drive-thru window. The gas station was robbed of its cash register around 12:30 a.m. Thursday after someone threw a brick through the front door.{}

Blake is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
