Police investigate shots fired at North Charleston apartment complex

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police spent part of the day Wednesday investigating report of shots being fired at a North Charleston apartment complex.{}According to officials, police were called to the Brackenbrook Apartments around 2:30 p.m. where they found what appeared to be a door kicked in on one of the units. However, no one was found inside the apartment, police said.{}Several shell casings were found and witnesses told police that some men running from the area.{}Police said they do not have any suspects or victims, but the case remains under investigation.
