WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) - Charleston police say a missing elderly man was found shortly after midnight Saturday.
According to Charleston police, 82-year-old Raymond Leo Becude was seen walking along RIvers Avenue and a detective was sent to pick him up around 12:30 a.m. He was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution and then back to his home.
Police say Becude left the senior care center on Ashley River Road around 4:30 p.m. and got into a black Chevy pickup truck. The truck was driven by someone witnesses did not know.
Police said Becude has dementia and did not know the man in the truck.
Becude needs medication and cannot walk for long periods without the assistance of a walker or wheelchair, police said.
He was last seen wearing a dark windbreaker, a white T-shirt, and dark pants.
