      Police: Man arrested after pawning laptop with child porn

      MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Mount Pleasant police were called to the Money Man pawn shop on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. after a laptop was brought to the shop that contained pornographic images.

      According to an incident report the man who owned the laptop, 28-year-old Justin Michael Francis, brought his computer into the shop on December 18.

      When the computer was being wiped after the holidays, an employee told police he found "several incest and child pornography videos saved on the computer. He also discovered a word document that described in detail a sexual encounter between a father and his young, juvenile daughter."

      The employee told police the juvenile was named in the document. He also said as soon as they saw the illegal content, they shut off the computer and called police.

      Francis was arrested and charged with exploitation of a minor in the third degree. According to court records, he was released on a $25,000 surety bond and ordered to stay away from anyone under the age of 18 and to stay away from any computers.

      According to officials with the Attorney General's office, an investigation found the file did contain child pornography and Francis admitted to downloading it.{} Police seized several computers and other media devices.{} {}{}{}{}
