Police: Man shot in butt in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man was shot in the buttocks outside a Columbus Street store in downtown Charleston, police said.{}

The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m., police said.{}

The victim was taken to the Medical University Hospital, police said. Police later identified the man as{}Bernard Blunt, 30, of Hanover Street.

Officials have not released information on the condition of the victim or a motive.{}
