Police: North Charleston Sun Trust Bank robbed

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Monday morning at the Coosaw Creek Boulevard Sun Trust.

According to officials, the bank was robbed around 10:30 a.m. when a black male entered the bank armed with a handgun, went to teller counter and demanded money.{}

Police said the employee complied and the suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of money.{}

Witnesses told police the suspect was seen getting into an older model green Honda (with a black male subject driving).{} The Honda was last seen traveling on Patriot Blvd towards Palmetto Commerce Parkway.

No one inside of the bank was injured.{} Anyone with information should contact NCPD at 554-5700.
