NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police were alerted of shots fired in the area of Dorchester Road and{} Gwinette Street Thursday night and they quickly spotted a car matching the suspect vehicle description.

Witnesses told dispatch the suspect's car was a black car "like the cops drive."

When police saw a black Crown Victoria near Ashley Phosphate and Cross County roads, they say they also noticed the two black men inside "making excessive movements and leaning over in the seat."

During the traffic stop, officers saw a gun in plain sight and according to the police report, ended up finding a loaded Smith and Wesson under the driver's seat, a loaded Draco AK47 under the passenger's seat (reported stolen from East Coast Guns), a high-point pistol in one of the suspect's waistbands, and two black ski masks (one in the car and one in the driver's pocket).

Marcel Rashad Thompson and James Garrius Johnson are both charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of a stolen firearm.

Bond for Thompson was set at $50,000. Johnson's bond totaled $75,000.
