Police trying to ID people suspected in Walmart moped theft

      JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police are trying to identify a man and a woman in connection to the theft of a moped that was parked outside the Folly Road Walmart on St. Patrick's Day.

      According to police, the victim, a 51-year-old man, parked his moped outside the garden center entrance, stored his keys in a pocket on the vehicle and went inside the store to shop.

      When he returned almost two hours later, the moped was gone, he told police.

      Surveillance video from the store shows an overweight white male, approximately 40 years old, wearing jeans and a sweatshirt leaving the garden center about an hour after the victim parked. The video shows the man got on the moped and leave the parking lot toward Folly Road.

      Surveillance photos show the suspect was with a woman wearing black jeans and a black sweatshirt with a blue and white logo on the front. She has gray hair.
