WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- It may be summer, but Citadel Mall is thinking soup. The newest addition to the mall's food court is locally owned and operated Ladles Homemade Soups.
The company announced Friday that it would open one of its three new locations in the mall.
Jeff Birman and Kimberly Dover, the owner/operators of the new food court location, said they settled on opening a Ladles franchise after falling in love with the other locations' atmosphere and the ever-changing menu of soups, salads and sandwiches.
"We are passionate about serving fresh, homemade foods and getting to know our customers." said Birman and Dover. "Come on by to share a chat and a fresh, homemade meal."
Ladles Homemade Soups offers a large and frequently changing menu of soups, sandwiches and salads that will accommodate a variety of dietary needs.
The company recent announced a new location would be added in downtown Charleston. The location is set to open by the end of summer on Calhoun Street.
A date has not been announced for the Citadel Mall location.
