Powerball jackpot drawing tonight

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) The lucky numbers to the Powerball jackpot are almost out and the winner will walk home with a lot of cash -- a staggering $425 million.

So far this year, the Powerball has created four millionaires in South Carolina and a total of 39 millionaires since the state began selling Powerball tickets.

The last time some one from the Palmetto State actually won the jackpot was in August 2009. The Columbia native purchased a ticket worth $259 million.

Earlier, ABC news 4 caught up with one man hoping for the best,{} but says he has no plans to quit his day job.

"I don't really anticipate winning. I just would be remiss without trying. Somebody told me it was a monster jackpot, so I figured I'd give it a shot," said Brian Crosby, who purchased five tickets.

The odds of winning the Powerball are pretty low, an estimated 1 in 175 million.

Wednesday's jackpot is enough money to send more than 3,000 kids to Harvard Law School or a thousand people into space.
