Folly Beach candidates make final plea ahead of election day

      FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) -- An election along the Edge of America will be held Tuesday.The mayoral candidates joined Good Morning Charleston Monday to talk about their campaigns.Former Folly Beach Administrator Toni Connor-Rooks said business and renourishment needs to be the focus and talked about Folly's new citizen-based Beach Front Committee. She said Folly's issues need to be addressed "sooner then later" and the fact that she's not a career politician would help the city.The incumbent in the race, Mayor Tim Goodwin talked about the alcohol ban."It made it a more civil place, more family friendly place," he said. "We're actually much cleaner, much safer. Traffic is down. So it's done a lot for the City of Folly Beach." He also talked about an increase in hospitality and business taxes coming into the city, renourishment and infrastructure.Voters will also selecting three council members. The candidates are:

      Polls will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and won't close until 7 p.m.
