Red Cross provides shelter, food in aftermath of storm
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Red Cross is operating two warming shelters in the Lowcountry for people who need a warm place to stay in the aftermath of last week's winter storm.
In Orangeburg, you can stay warm at Cornerstone Community Church at 1481 Chestnut Street.
St. Stephen Elementary School is open as a warming shelter, as well. The school is located at 1053 Russellville Road.
The Red Cross and Partners will also be providing food in Georgetown on Monday for people who need a hot meal.
Meals will be served at the following locations in Georgetown at noon and 6 p.m.:
- Ringle Heights Baptist Church - 78 Ruben Avenue
- Northeast Regional Recreation Center - 8189 Choppee Road
- Sandpit Park - 495 Powell Road
