Report: Trucker robbed at fuel pump in Walterboro

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) -- Walterboro police are investigating an armed robbery they say happened on Bells Highway Tuesday night.

According to the police report, the driver of a tractor trailer was filling up at the Mobil gas station around 10:30 p.m.

He told police that when he got back into his cab, two young black men came up to him with a gun and ordered him to come down.

The 47-year-old man said he complied and was thrown to the ground.

He told police the men took his wallet that had his drivers license, debit card, Walmart card, company fuel card and $16 in cash.

K-9 officers tried to track the suspects but were not successful.
