Report: Mt. Pleasant Man robbed, shoved in trunk of his vehicle

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man was robbed and shoved into the trunk of his own vehicle at his home in Park West, said officials with the Mount Pleasant Police Department. According to a police report, the victim pulled up to his home on Wellstead Street at about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 and noticed a vehicle speed up behind him.The victim told officers a suspect jumped out of the backseat of the vehicle, shoved a handgun in{} his face and demanded he give the suspect everything he had, the report states.Once the victim got out of his car, the suspect demanded the victim get in the trunk of his own vehicle, struck him the face a second time, slammed the trunk shut and left the scene, according to the report. The suspect got away with about $400 in cash. EMS was notified because the victim complained of pain on the left side of his face, officials said.
