Report: Residents complain of shooting during fight in Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Residents of a downtown Charleston neighborhood complained to police about a fight that ended in gunfire on Monday.

According to a police report, no one was injured in the reported shooting on Ashton Street around 6 p.m.

The report states several black men dressed in black clothes got into an argument and ended when someone opened fire. Police found no evidence of people of property being hit by bullets, however.

One witness told police officers a man known as "Mr. Razor," a skinny black man over 6 feet tall, was among those shooting.

Police said they were unable to get footage from surveillance cameras in the area.

The first officers on the scene did find eight 9-millimeter shell casings in the roadway.

No arrests have been reported by police.
