Reward increased again for info on teen's murder

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The reward for information about the death of a teenager was increased for a second time Monday.According to a spokesperson with Crime Stoppers, the reward went up from $5,000 to $8,000.Shortly after midnight on Oct. 8, 2013, officers responded to a home on Forbes Avenue and found Malcolm Jefferson, 18, had been shot. According to a release, Jefferson died from his injuries at MUSC. Officials said an investigation indicates Jefferson was shot outside of the home and ran inside where people were playing cards. According to a police report, people in the area reported hearing several gunshots. When police arrived, they found Jefferson with several wounds to the torso.Cpl. Fred Bowie with Crime Stoppers said leads are still being followed and progress is being made by the City of Charleston Police.
