      RiverDogs' 9th annual golf tournament set for May 6

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (DOGS) - MardiGras may be over but the celebration continues at the CharlestonRiverDogs' 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament that features food,drink and rowdy fun as the club introduces its Mardi Golf theme.

      Golfers and have-funners will head to the links onTuesday, May 6, at Wild Dunes Resort for an 11 am shotgun start.{}The eventis once again presented by Parks Auto Parts and benefits the Medical Universityof South Carolina's Storm Eye Institute.

      The four-man Captain's Choice format is not a typicalgolf outing as the Mardi Golf-themed tournament will be a celebrationthat even RiverDogs Director of Fun Bill Murray won't want to miss.

      "Who isn't a fan of fun?" asks Events Director MelissaAzevedo. "This tournament not only offers a day-full of light-heartedentertainment at a beautiful golf course, it also provides an afternoon ofnetworking while raising funds to help fight blindness."

      Prizes will be awarded for first, second and thirdplace teams, and in typical RiverDogs fashion, there will also be prizes givenfor best float (cart) decor, best costume and best MardiGras mask.The $500 per foursome entry fee includes green and cart fees, range balls, anexclusive golfer gift and goodie bag, a box lunch, unlimited beverages, awardsceremony and a Cajun-style dinner.

      Hole sponsorships are also available for $350.{}Each hole will be named after a Mardi Gras Krewe, and will feature a MardiGras-themed contest that includes a cake walk, French toast stacking, greasingthe poles competition, crawfish chucking and feather juggling, to name afew,{} all for a chance to win beads.{} The grand prize of the day is atrip to New Orleans.{}
