Riverdogs debut 'Original' beer Thursday night

      CHARLESTON,S.C. (DOGS) - The Charleston RiverDogs are constantly on the forefront of providing newand exciting food and beverage options at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. This time,with the help of Palmetto Brewery, the RiverDogs have their own special beerbrewed exclusively for consumption at The Joe. "The Original" will make itsdebut tonight.

      Accordingto Palmetto Brewery's official drink description, "The Original" is light andbalanced beer without dark roots or bitterness. It is sunlight dried straw incolor and features a lightly malty palate. The RiverDogs branded beer is alsodescribed as an adventurous blonde with a clean crisp tangerine aroma and aneat finish along with a slight hint of lemongrass.

      "TheOriginal" will be offered in the Palmetto Brewery Beer Garden throughout theremainder of the 2014 RiverDogs season. Fans can easily find it on tap with itsspecial baseball bat handle tap.

      PalmettoBrewery is the oldest operating brewery in South Carolina. Founded by EdFalkenstein in 1993, Palmetto Brewery has been making tasty beer for more thana decade. They offer four main brews available all year round: CharlestonLager, Amber Ale, Pale Ale, and Espresso Porter.       TheRiverDogs open a three-game homestand on Thursday evening at 7:05pm against theRome Braves, with Palmetto Brewery and Awendaw Green sponsoring a postgameconcert by The Dunder Chiefs adjacent to the Beer Garden. It's anotherBudweiser Thirsty Thursday, presented by 95SX, with the Ashley View Pub hostinga DJ, $1 drafts, and a wing-eating contest presented by Wild Wing Caf.
