Police: Robber tells victim 'Please, I don't want to shoot you' then shoots him 3 times
GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Goose Creek police responded to Madeline Drive early Sunday morning for reports of a shooting and are on the lookout for two suspects.
According to police, one of the victims was shot multiple times while trying to fight off a man with a gun.
The report says two men followed a couple home from a convenience store and robbed them.The victims told police they pulled up to the home and the suspects pulled up next to them, one of them with a gun.
After the female victim handed over her phone and told the robbers they didn't have any money, one of the suspects reportedly leaned against the trunk of the car, pulled out his gun and said "Please, I don't want to shoot you." He then searched the male victim's pockets and said "Man, I should just shoot you."
That's when the woman said the male victim started to fight back while she ran through the yard and ran through a ditch.
Police say the male victim was shot three times in the forearm, stomach and head near his eye. The female victim was unharmed.
The gunman is described as a black male with a mustache, wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt. There is no description for the other suspect.
A neighbor said he saw a burgundy colored car with a loud exhaust muffler, driving down the road without lights on.
