Rock Hill woman gets 4 years in stabbing death
YORK, S.C. (AP) -- A Rock Hill woman has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of a man she called her friend.
The Herald of Rock Hill reported that 40-year-old Alicia Johnson entered the plea Tuesday in York.
Police say 54-year-old Anthony Davis was found stabbed to death with a pair of scissors at a Rock Hill apartment in September.
Johnson will get credit for the 104 days she's been in jail. She also will receive drug treatment while in prison.
A magistrate had ruled last month that there was not enough evidence to charge Johnson with murder.
Prosecutors say Johnson stabbed Davis when he beat her after she refused to have sex with him in exchange for drugs.
