Runaway teen's photo pictured on missing, exploited kids website

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A teen girl with a history of running away has disappeared again, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.

A report filed May 26 shows Summer Steen was last seen by her caretaker earlier that day. Steen was reportedly in Summerville visiting her sister when she disappeared.

Steen is a ward of the state, according to the report.

The report states that Steen's caseworker gave deputies the on-call Department of Social Services phone number, but officials at DSS did not return the deputy's call until two days later.

Steen is described as a 5-foot, 6-inch white girl weighing about 155 pounds. She was last seen wearing jeans, a white shirt, and gold sandals.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Steen could be traveling to Camden, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, or Rock Hill.

She also has a tattoo on the left side of her chest, the missing kids center reports.
