CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a series of events to help mark Safe Boating Week in South Carolina.
On Saturday, state and federal law enforcement representatives will be at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina in Mount Pleasant offering vessel safety checks and answering boaters' questions.
Also Saturday the Coast Guard Auxiliary will have booths and offer safety checks at West Marine in Anderson, Dutch Square in Columbia, Peachtree Landing in Socastee and at the Blue Crab Festival in Little River.
On Sunday, the Coast Guard Auxiliary will provide vessel safety checks at Murrells Inlet Boat Landing.
