WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Food policy leaders in South Carolina are getting together to share ideas and talk about what issues need attention in terms of how the state eats.
The South Carolina Food Policy Council is holding a meeting Friday at the State Farmers Market in West Columbia.
Organizers say those at the meeting will see presentations on food deserts and the development of sustainable regional food systems. The meeting is also a chance for them to network and talk about ways to get South Carolinians to make better, more informed choices about the foods they choose.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
