SC swimmer's body found in river near Brevard
BREVARD, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have found the body of a Greenville, S.C., man who disappeared while swimming near a North Carolina waterfall several days ago.
The U.S. Forest Service told the Times-News of Hendersonville (http://bit.ly/17vD3aq ) that 36-year-old Jermaine Maffett's body was recovered Saturday. They did not provide any details.
Investigators say Maffett was swimming with three friends on July 15 at Turtleback Falls on the Horsepasture River near Brevard when he disappeared. The friends told authorities that Maffett jumped off a large rock, struggled in the water, then went under.
