      Lockdown at Summerville schools lifted

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) --The lockdown on two schools in Summerville has been lifted, said Dorchester Two spokesperson Pay Raynor.

Raynor said Summerville High School and Gregg Middle School were on lockdown just as a precaution while police looked for a suspect.

Raynor said Summerville Police responded to an incident at nearby Somerset Apartments but she was given no other details.

Police confirmed that they were "investigating a suspect with a gun at Somerset Apartments" and that "the nearby schools were placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution."

We will update this story as more details become available.
