      SCHP investigates deadly early morning crash

      GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Georgetown County.

      An SCHP spokesperson says a 2002 Chevrolet truck ran off Kent Road and hit a tree around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

      The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the crash, according to officials. The Georgetown Coroner's Office identified the driver as David Belue.

      The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
