ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are investigating an accident involving an ambulance in Orangeburg County.A Berkeley County EMS vehicle struck an 18-wheeler on Highway 176 at Coach Road. SCHP officials said the ambulance was making a u-turn when it struck the oncoming semi. The ambulance driver was charged with making an improper turn.According to sources with SConFire.com, a patient and another rider was on board on the way to the hospital and were transported after the accident. No EMS crew members were injured.
