SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol has arrested a man in connection with a collision that happened on 17-A between Clubhouse Road and Canaan Road last month.
According to Trooper Bridget Wyant, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m. and was between a Jeep and a 1998 Mercury Sedan.
According to reports, the Jeep collided with the sedan while trying to pass it. The Jeep then went off the road and overturned.
The Dorchester County Coroner said Amanda Carey, 21, of Summerville, was killed after she was ejected from the Jeep. Last month, the driver of the Jeep, 21-year-old Taylor Watkins, was charged with driving under the influence.
Now, officials said the driver of Mercury, 17-year-old Cullen Depree of Summerville, has also been charged with reckless homicide and leaving the scene of a collision involving a death.
