CCSO: Shooting victim taken to MUSC

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County sheriff's deputies responded to Elegans Drive in Hub Village Wednesday night for reports of a robbery and shooting.

Deputies say they found a 27-year-old man had been shot, and he was taken to Medical University hospital. They said the injuries were not life-threatening.

According to the police report, officers found several shell casings from a .45-caliber handgun, a baseball cap and a jacket in the front yard. The responding officer noted blood in the driveway and on the front door.{}

The victim's cousin told officers she saw the victim limping down Accabee Street and gave him a ride to MUSC. That's when she learned the victim had been shot, the report states.{}

Investigators said they are looking for a red pickup truck believed to be involved in the shooting. Investigators did not say what, if anything, was stolen.
