WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- For one mother-daughter pair, the goodies don't stop coming Christmas morning.
Shopping the day after Christmas has become a tradition for Judy Brinkley and Jennifer Mueller.
"I have my dad taking care of my kids so this is our time. This is what we do. It's everything to me," Mueller said.
Like everyone else, they were looking for the best deals and steals.
"We're savers. So day after Thanksgiving, day after Christmas - 50 to 75% off gets us up early and out," Brinkley said.
And at Citadel Mall, it seemed like those post-holiday steals were everywhere.
"We're just looking to go see what kind of deals the stores have," said Chandler Threatt, shopping with his grandmother.
Shoppers like Kristin Armstrong were able to find some of those good deals.
"I used everything up so I got ribbon! I'm getting it 40% off at Hallmark today," she said.
She said she is stocking up so she will be ready for next Christmas.
Armstrong said shopping was also a good source of entertainment for the family and an escape from the cool temperatures outside.
"I was bored. It's something to do with the little ones to get them out of the house since it's so cold," she said.
Addie Smoak was also looking for some time to herself after a busy holiday season.
"I have a 15-month-old son and I don't ever get to come out shopping. He's with his dad's family today so I'm taking advantage," she said.
Some of the sales are expected to last through the weekend. You can check with your favorite retailer for an update.
