CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- It appears the adult-themed Halloween party known as Skinful has at last found a home on James Island.
The group said in a Facebook post Friday morning that it would be returning to Brick House Kitchen. The party was initially moved from James Island because organizers did not want to deal with issues arising from the city's noise ordinance.
However, after being turned away from several potential sites, the group appears to have struck a deal. The number of party-goers will be limited and the party will be contained within a fence on the property, officials said.
"We are moving the event earlier and will abide by the 11 p.m. noise ordinance," the post reads, adding that there will be a silent disco until 2 a.m.
Before Friday, the group announced the party would move to the Music Farm, but Charleston police officials said no one at Music Farm had been contacted about the possibility and there was never an addition to the venue's calendar for Skinful.
Charleston County Sheriff's Office spokesman Maj. Jim Brady said officers were aware of the most recent change of venue for Skinful and is already planning to have off-duty deputies at Brick House Kitchen as well as traffic officers stationed around the venue.
The event is supposed to be hosted by Flava Flav.
