South Santee Senior & Community Center to be in phonebank

      MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Every day hundreds of seniors east of the Cooper River can enjoy an independent lifestyle they've grown accustomed to because of the South Santee Senior and Community Center. {}The organization has a wide variety of programs offering services like meal deliveries, transportation and home healthcare support.{}In addition to those basic services, the community center also holds yoga and gardening classes alongside custom social skill building regimens. {} It's their goal to keep seniors feeling comfortable in their own home. {}The South Santee Senior and Community Center has continually grown throughout the last thirty years. {}They've learned how to develop plans specifically catered to each individual person who needs help.Wednesday the community center will be featured on the ABC News 4 Volunteer Four Phonebank. {}From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. you can call to get more information on how you can help East Cooper seniors.
