Southern Baby Show draws new, expecting parents
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- From bump to baby, new and experienced parents gathered at The Citadel's alumni center for the Southern Baby Show.
New parents were able to chat with medical and wellness experts on what to expect when they're expecting. Local businesses were also at the event selling stylish baby gear.
Free classes on pregnancy and parenting were also available for attendees.
"There really hasn't been a dedicated baby show in Charleston, and there are a lot of families here. There are a lot of families in the surrounding area that I think really benefit from learning about what's around their community to help them with their new parenting," said Rosie Pope, a pregnancy and parenting expert.
This was the first year for the event.
