Stop the killing rally planned in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) --{} Church members in North Charleston say they are tired of the violence in their community and are gearing up to rally against it. "Come one come all, this is your community," reads a flyer sent out by North Charleston Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor.On Friday, July 18, the Resurrected Life Ministry in Jesus Christ located at 1906 Reynolds Avenue in North Charleston will host the 'Stop Killing' community rally starting at 5 p.m.The rally comes after a string of police activity in North Charleston. In just the past week, there have been prostitution arrests, a shooting at the Cheapway gas station on Dorchester Road, a fatal shooting outside of the Circle A store on Spruill Avenue, and another shooting that injured two people near West Enterprise and Dolphin streets.According to the flyer, the theme of Friday's rally is "Our Communities are dying but we have the power to stop it."If you have any questions about the rally, you can call the church at (843) 566-1122.
